SpeakraSpeakra Privacy Policy

Speakra is an app for practising the IELTS Speaking test. It is developed and operated by Ertech Yazılım ve Bilgi Teknolojileri Ltd. Şti. ("Ertech", "we", "us"). This policy explains what data the Speakra apps for Android and iOS collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, how long we keep it and how you can delete it.

Summary
- We record your spoken answers only to score them. Audio files are deleted from our servers automatically within 24 hours.
- We do not show ads and we do not sell your data.
- You can use Speakra as a guest, without an account.
- You can delete your data at any time (see Deleting your data).
Data we collect

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location or any data from other apps.
Microphone
Speakra asks for microphone access and uses it only while you are recording an answer. During recording the audio is streamed to Microsoft Azure AI Speech to show a live transcript, and the finished recording is uploaded to our servers for scoring.
Who processes your data
We use the following service providers. They process data only on our behalf and under their own security commitments; none of them receives it to use for their own purposes.
- Microsoft Azure AI Speech (EU region, West Europe): speech recognition and pronunciation assessment of your recordings.
- OpenAI (API): generates written feedback from the transcript of your answer. Data sent through the OpenAI API is not used to train OpenAI's models.
- Google Firebase: sign-in (Firebase Authentication), app configuration (Remote Config) and usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase).
- RevenueCat: manages IELTS Prep Pass purchases and their status, together with Google Play Billing and Apple's App Store.
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure: hosts the Speakra servers and database.
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards the providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How we protect it
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Access to the servers and database is restricted to the people who operate Speakra.
Deleting your data
- Signed-in users: open Profile → Delete account in the app. This deletes your account, profile, transcripts, results and history, and any remaining recordings from our servers.
- Guests, or if you no longer have the app: email support@ertechsoftware.com with the subject "Speakra data deletion". See how to request deletion. We complete requests within 30 days.
Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on your device, but not the data on our servers.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or KVKK in Türkiye) you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict its processing, and withdraw consent. Write to support@ertechsoftware.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Speakra is meant for people preparing for the IELTS exam, aged 16 and over. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used Speakra, contact us and we will delete the data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
